Strong-billed Woodcreeper (Xiphocolaptes promeropirhynchus)
This is the largest woodcreeper and is a specialist of pristine primary forest. It’s uncommon and although it’s not a Mexican endemic since its range stretches into Central and South America, it’s one of the most amazing birds of the high mountains.
